Black Birders Week: 25 - 31 May, 2025

Black Birders Week was created in 2020 by the BlackAFinSTEM Collective to celebrate and highlight Black birders, scientists, naturalists, and outdoor enthusiasts. It's not only a time to celebrate and reflect, but to also come together and connect with the natural world, making lifelong memories of joy and community.

We look forward to celebrating Black Birders Week from Sunday, May 25 to Saturday, May 31 by highlighting a week-long series of activities aimed at uplifting Black birders and topics of cultural inclusivity in the outdoors. As we learn of local events we'll update this page so check back regularly.

The original organizers of Black Birders Week, Black AF in STEM can be found here at their website.
