Jim Carpenter, avid nature enthusiast and founder of Wild Birds Unlimited, created Bark Butter more than 20 years ago and used it to attract Brown Creepers, but discovered that it attracted many more birds. As of May 2017, there are more than 143 different bird species that love Bark Butter.
