5 Stars - "Finally got around to visiting this place since we have hummingbirds and a friend said this was the place she goes for all her bird feeding needs. Holy cow, was she right! I'd gotten a hummingbird feeder at a Big Box store but it attracted ants. Jerry not only hooked me up with a hummingbird feeder with a big enough hook I can take it down and put it back up without having to get a step stool or climb on a chair (important for the shorties of the world), but it has a built-in reservoir to deter ants (and a lifetime warranty if anything ever happens to it). He was also detail-oriented enough to tell me I needed to put just a drop of dish soap in the reservoir with water to make sure the ants actually sink and don't form a bridge. He even had a choice of reservoir add-ons so I could continue using my Big Box store hummingbird feeder and eliminate my ant issue, and some cool cinnamon-based non-toxic ant repellent gel to boot, when he could have just told me to ditch my Big Box feeder and buy another one. The store itself is cute and the products all seem to be high quality. Jerry had a wealth of information he's happy to share. I'll be back once I figure out where to put my next hummingbird feeder and for holiday shopping." Kim S

5 stars - "My husband and I had been wanting to visit this store for months and when I finally got there it was fantastic! Debi was extremely helpful and so knowledgeable and passionate about birds. They have fantastic feeders, feeder stand systems, houses, seed, meal worms, etc. Debi had fantastic ideas for how to add to my backyard feeders to see more varieties of birds. She identified a mystery bird that we hadn't seen because it calls at 5 o'clock in the morning before sunrise. She gave us information on bird watching tours, bird apps, bird books, etc. We can't wait to go back!" Diana S.

5 stars - "This is the best place around to buy no mess bird seed.  Before I discovered this place, I would go to local pet stores that sold a "waste free" blend that's filled with corn.  Unfortunately, the birds around us (RB) don't care for the corn, so it was left in giant piles under the feeder.  The price of the seed might initially seem high, but it's really not when you consider all the factors.  We have zero waste when we use it, which is important since I have the feeder set up near our front porch.  The 20 lb bag is actually more economical than if you buy two 10 lb bags of named brand seed at pet stores (I don't know what they charge for a 20 lb bag, if they even carry one). "

5 stars - "Between 15-20 years ago I worked at Wild Birds Unlimited in Santee (closed a long time ago), and while I worked there I purchased some feeders.  One in particular had a lifetime warranty.  Well I have used it a lot over the years, but the plastic tube discolored and cracked.  So I decided to take it into the Wild Birds in Poway.  I spoke with Jerry the owner, he ordered the parts for me, and tried to order the new plastic tube.  He called me on Monday to tell me that the tube was not available any longer, but that he was authorized to give me a free replacement!  WOW!  This speaks volumes about Jerry and Wild Birds Unlimited as a company.   Please feel confident buying from Wild Birds Unlimited!  Sure you pay a little more for your feeders, etc but the quality is fantastic, and their integrity is just as good!  I own a few Wild Birds feeders and love them all.  If your not into birding, but know someone who is, they have tons of gift ideas too, from bird baths, to feeders, to bird houses, and many many more items!  You gotta check this place out.  Thanks Jerry and Wild Birds Unlimited!" 5 stars - "My wife and I recently stopped in at this wonderful store in Scripps Ranch and Jerry the owner spent a lot of time explaining to us about hummingbirds and how to best attract and feed them. He showed us a number of different feeders and we purchased one and are enjoying a spectacular show every day in our backyard.  Jerry even shared a homemade hummingbird nectar recipe with us that we use. 5 stars - "I stopped in initially because a friend of mine was getting bird feeding supplies. What a pleasant shopping experience!  I have been feeding hummingbirds for years but never had a seed feeder; so I got the solid cylinder type and hung it on a tree near my back patio.  Within a couple weeks I had a flock of house finches chirping away and enjoying the treats.  Make use of the friendly, helpful staff.  I wish there was a Wild Birds Unlimited closer to me south of San Diego." They have the most amazing feeders, including Fair Trade hand blown glass hummingbird feeders made in Central Mexico. Their seed and finch feeders aren't like the poorly-mad ones that you'll find in big box stores. They're sturdy and well-built and many are warranted for a lifetime. Buy your bird feeders here and you'll never have to buy another feeder!"
