San Diego Bird Alliance's 2026 Birdathon coming up in April

We're so excited to participate in our second SDBA Birdathon this year. More details will be available in the coming weeks and months, but for now please mark your calendars: the Birdathon will take place between 10 April, 2026 and 10 May, 2026. 

As a reminder, here are the basics about the Birdathon:

• Similar to a walkathon where you count steps and raise money, the Birdathon is an opportunity to raise funds for the Alliance as teams count bird species. And don't worry, you don't need to be experienced at all to take part in the fun!
• Each team's counting must take place in a 24 hour period between 10 April and 10 May. All counts and funds raised must be in by 31 May.
• We will be registering  Team Wild Birds Unlimited and will be doing our counts at a variety of locations around San Diego.
• We are hoping to raise over $4,000 in donations and observe at least 120 bird species.
• Our top donor/fund raiser will receive a signed copy of Amy Tan's book The Backyard Bird Chronicles. (A drawing will be held if there's a tie.)
